FAQs

What measurements do you need?

The most important measurement we need is from the top to the bottom of a page. We also need to know the width, from one side of a page to the other, and the thickness of the bible. The thickness is important because certain options depend on the size.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! We use the United States Postal Service international flat rate service.

Can I choose a different leather than what you offer?

Yes, within a limited range. We are willing to work with goatskin from Siegel Leather, and a select few other cowhide options. Using something other than what we have listed on our website incurs an additional charge.

What is your turnaround time?

We are currently running a 6 to 7-month waitlist (as of August 2024), but we don’t need your bible that whole time! We will ask for it a couple of weeks before we’re scheduled to work on it. It takes a week and a half from when we cut into the bible until we ship it back to you.

Feel free to contact us to see more precisely when we’re scheduling.

Mailing advice?

Please ensure your name is either outside or inside the packaging (preferably both). We recommend that you do something to waterproof your bible before mailing, such as wrapping in plastic wrap or placing in a plastic ziplock bag. Pack your bible carefully so that it isn’t rolling around inside the box, even if you have to use lots of packing material. Don’t use the kind of “make it yourself” boxes that leave large holes where the cardboard is folded. Lastly, use a mailing service that provides tracking, and don’t use media mail.

If you're sending it from an online store, keep in mind that sometimes they send damaged bibles, or at least not best quality. We are not responsible for fully inspecting a new bible (i.e. going through every page) before beginning a rebind.
